As I commented on your website design, I like this logo, it is more innovative, my only concern is that they may not like it for two reasons, first their current logo is already used on many things now, like trucks, vans, buildings etc. and second because it maybe more gives an idea of "industrial/machine/robots" then "art/iron"?
I will however for sure show them this logo as an alternative and let you know. Now what I would maybe like from you, would be to see your website design with the "classic" logo, I mean just exactly the same as before. Do not delete your website design now please, just if you agree submit a second one, so that I may show them the two designs next to each other, one with the classic logo, and one with a new alternative.
